In 2025/26 season we initiated a series of evenings with theatrical short forms. This allowed for various experiments.
The goal was to bring together different Estonian actors and theatre writers each time, make them collaborate and try out new material. We were lucky enough to be assisted by world’s first dog-director Ramses. His yawns killed many an idea.
We tried playing scenes in foreign and made-up languages, surprised actors on stage with partners they’d never met (including humanoids), created a ‘data theatre’ format where audiences could influence scenes through their smartphones, attempted live constellation therapy, endlessly looping scenes, lot-based acting and russian roulette on stage.
We ended up creating over 70 short scenes during six full-length shows, playing each show to 500 spectators 3 times. During this period 30 actors, 17 writers and 15 other artists collaborated in our writer’s room.
